Free, local-only worksheet

Build a factual bill-dispute pack.

Enter totals and dates from your records. The kit calculates a difference to review and organizes your notes; it does not read bills, submit a complaint, or decide whether the provider did anything wrong.

1. Describe the service and issue
2. Compare the bill amounts

Use the same basis for both monthly totals (both before tax or both after tax). The difference is arithmetic from your entries, not a finding that you are owed money.

For example, a one-time fee or a missed one-time credit.
3. Record provider contact and dates

The CCTS says to contact your provider and give them an opportunity to address the issue before you file.

This is your reminder, not a legal or CCTS deadline.
4. Choose a reasonable outcome and mark evidence

Check what you already have. Never paste passwords, full account numbers, payment-card details, or private customer information here.

All calculations and drafting run in this page. Nothing is uploaded, saved, or sent.

Why this problem

Billing disputes are a documented pain point.

The CCTS reported a record 23,647 accepted complaints in 2024–25. Billing-related issues rose 16% and made up 46% of issues raised; contract-breach issues rose 121%. The numbers do not prove every bill is wrong, but they show why keeping a clear record matters.

This kit focuses on math, dates, contacts, and evidence. It does not read bills or determine who is right.
